Labview software engineer – Tilburg


Our client develops and produces pushbelts for transmissions for the automotive industry. In 2017 they produced the 50 millionth pushbelt, and the annual production of pushbelts shows a continuous growth.


This special department of the organisation has the responsibility to develop and carry out all relevant tests on developed and produced pushbelts, and manage the test facilities. Tests are carried out in the locations Tilburg (NL) and Vietnam (HcP)


Presently a group of testbenches is being upgrated. Part of the upgrading exists of Software upgrades. For this project “Enchance lifetime L&F Testbenches” the following Workpackage is defined:

  • Optimize and update ring failure detection software in current NI CompactRIO system and secure interfacings with (updated) PSA software
  • Investigate and set-up solution and coding for ring logging and ring failure detection when PSA is not running
  • Continue development and coding for TVM (Torque Vibration Method) detection measurements by CompactRIO system
  • Code generation all used applications (Labview, C-code, Matlab)
  • Present plan of approach, work-packages and timing
  • Report recommendations & results

Functie eisen

Required skills:

  • Labview application knowledge and experience (> 5 years)
  • Real time system experience (> 3 years)
  • FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) experience (> 3 years)
  • Protocol and interface knowledge incl. message manipulation with respect to CANbus, Ethercat/-net, TCP/IP
  • Scripts writing (C-code, C-sharp)
  • Team player, pioneering mindset, eager to learn
  • Structured way of working, document work and results
